Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay & Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica

 Jamaica Tourist Board Fam Trip

Our third and final host hotel was the Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay.  Upon arrival to this large resort, we were greeted with a delicious and refreshing fruit punch as we filled out the form to check in.  After checking in, we went to the buffet for lunch.  It was VERY rainy.  To be honest, it was very rainy every single day we were there due to a tropical storm... but this was one of the rainiest!  After lunch we had the rest of the afternoon to explore the hotel on our own before meeting up for dinner hosted by their lovely Sales Manager Taina at their Japanese restaurant, Mikado.  This dinner was 4 hours long, but it only felt like an hour because I was having such a great time getting to know Taina.

Bright and early the next morning, we had our site tour of both 5-star hotels.  the Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica is a family friendly resort with 850 rooms with access to 3 pools, 6 restaurants, 4 bars a spa and a waterpark.  The Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay is an adults only escape in luxury with 525 rooms with access to 3 pools, 10 restaurants, 4 bars and a spa.

Later in the afternoon we had our Covid PCR test administered at our hotel within our room.  We got the results to this test via email early the next day.  For dinner that evening I went to Knife, their steakhouse.  I believe this was the yummiest meal I had during the entire trip. It was so delicious!  Highly suggest this restaurant to anyone visiting these hotels.  Later that evening a few us us decided to check out the disco which is currently taking place within Bahia Village due to covid. Bahia Village is a cute little shopping village for guests at the resort.

During our last full day at Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica, we had a farewell dinner planned for us out between the pool and the beach. It was lovely and private and so delicious.  Service was wonderful and our host Taina was a complete joy throughout.  After dinner, Taina along with a couple other staff members, a few of us agents and I went to the Disco again.  This time we closed the place down. We danced and stayed until the end.  It was such a fun time!  My favourite evening of the entire trip.

The Bahia Principe Hotels are a great option for your destination wedding.  The Beach Gazebo is located at the Grand Jamaica and has a capacity of 180 guests for a ceremony.  The Beach Gazebo is located at The Luxury Runaway Bay with a capacity of 150 guests for a ceremony.  There is also a handful of other locations for your ceremony or reception 1000 guest!  They have six different wedding packages ranging from absolute luxury to charm and simplicity. They have a package and a theme for every couple.
