Romance in the Rolling Hills of Tuscany

Monica and Mark's Destination Wedding in the Tuscan hills of Italy took place at Antico Borgo San Lorenzo. This lovely villa was the home for all of their guests all week as well as the location for their Wedding, Welcome Dinner and Farewell BBQ.

Prior to travelling to Italy, Mark and Monica planned a surprise legal wedding ceremony in Toronto that they invited their friends to. They disguised it as a graduation/congratulations party for Mark. Guests were super surprised when I walked in and started their wedding ceremony. I will never forget the looks ono their faces. It was such a fun way to have their legal wedding ceremony.

Upon arrival to the villa on the first evening, guests enjoyed a lovely meal on the terrace with antipasto and wood oven pizzas. On one of the days before the wedding, we planned a wine tour for the guests to learn more about Tuscany and it's wines. We took a coach bus to a few different wineries within the Chianti region and enjoyed their delicious wines and food while touring their vineyards and wineries.

On their wedding day, Monica and Mark shared a first look within the driveway lined with cypress trees. Their ceremony was overlooking the most stunning view of the rolling hills of vineyards and olive orchards. Unfortunately, mother nature had other plans for the weather and the rain was starting during the ceremony. We finished the ceremony just in time before the skies opened up and it poured. Guests took some time in their rooms to dry off and wait out the rain before heading to cocktail hour to enjoy an amazing spread of food on the pool deck. After cocktail hour, guests went inside for dinner dancing with music provided by an awesome band.

On the last evening at the Villa, guests enjoyed a farewell BBQ. It was an incredible selection of different meats and sides with birthday cake for dessert as everyone celebrated Mark's grandmother's birthday.

An amazing week filled with so much fun and love for Monica and Mark from their closest family and friends.
