Niagara Wedding Planner
Rustic Elegance at Glen Drummond Farm
Brittney and Joe fell in love at first sight and even told each other they were going to get married the very first time they met.
Their wedding took place on a beautiful June day. The day started out with the guys getting ready at The Haggar House and ladies getting ready at West Avenue Cider House where the rehearsal dinner took place the evening before. After Brittney was dressed, she had an intimate little first look with her parents.
Brittney and Joe did not want to see each other until the moment Brittney was walking down the aisle towards Joe. So, Joe and his groomsmen arrived at Glen Drummond Farm about 45 minutes prior to the ceremony in order to great the guests as they arrived. There was a tractor with wagons to shuttle guests to the ceremony location at The Peak. The Peak is a such a lovely sport for a ceremony with a beautiful view surrounded by trees and the farm crops. After all of the guests were at the ceremony, Brittney and her ladies arrived to the ceremony site on the wagons. The ceremony space was beautifully decorated with a semi-circle arrangement on the ground circling around Brittney and Joe. I had the honour of officiating their lovely ceremony which was full of love and a little bit of laughter.
After the ceremony, Brittney and Joe along with their immediate family and wedding party enjoyed photos at The Peak while the rest of the guests started to shuttle back to cocktail hour which took place within the courtyard at the barns. The way this venue is set up, is amazing! There is a lovely bridal suite where the couple and their wedding party can put all of their belongings. Beside that is where the bar and dance floor is located. On the other side is where the reception dinner takes place. This area has doors to keep everyone out until cocktail hour is over. Between these 2 buildings is the courtyard which has picnic tables, the washrooms and a food truck which you can use for late night! Yum!
During cocktail hour, guests were encouraged to sign the Cornhole Boards which Brittney and Joe used as their guestbook. After cocktail hour, guests took their seats and the beautifully decorated dinner reception barn. The wedding party entrances were full of fun... with lots of dance moved, money guns and Joe flipping Brittney backwards! Each place setting was finished off with a rattan charger and a menu with the place card attached via a wax seal and a little sprig of pampas grass. In the centre of each table was a very tall centrepiece which really helped fill the space in that large barn with tall ceilings and ensured that none of the guests had their view blocked during dinner. For dessert, the barn doors opened and guests were able to enjoy a lovely Pie Bar with all different types of pies.
After dinner, Brittney and Joe cut their wedding cake which was baked by Joe's grandmother. This then led into the bride and groom's first dance which took place on the dance floor in front of a big lit up LOVE sign. After their parent dances, the dance floor opened and the party began.
Such a beautiful day for a beautiful couple that I am so honoured chose me to not only assist them as their wedding planner but also officiate their ceremony and be able to declare them Husband and Wife.
