A Divine Affair - Wedding Chicks Feature

Alice in Wonderland Inspired Wedding Shoot

Niagara Wedding Planner

A Divine Affair - Niagara Wedding Planner

For this Whimsical Orchard Styled Shoot, Jennie drew inspiration from the novel Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.  We were going for a very playful, whimsical, vintage feel.  The shoot took place at the beautiful Gracewood Estates at Kurtz Orchards in Niagara on the Lake and was perfectly captured by Eva of Eva Derrick Photography.  This venue with its house built in 1819 surrounded by an English Garden, an orchard and big beautiful mature trees gave us the perfect backdrop for our shoot.  The bride wore a stunning tea length gown by Catherine Langlois and modern jewelry by Stella and Dot with a Tacori showstopper ring.  Her hair and makeup was designed by Honor Beauty and the floral crown was created by Bloom & Co.  We utilized the English Gardens for cocktail hour which included a vintage tea cart and a sweets table on a vintage vanity.  The sweets table included two beautiful cakes, cupcakes, macarons and hand painted sugar cookies.  One cake was hand painted and decorated with cascading sugar flowers.  The other was with beautiful gold and blush accents and a teacup on top.  Sweet Celebrations also created sugar lollies adorned with edible flowers, script and clock faces.  Jennie wanted the reception table to be among the orchard and surrounded by teacups hanging from the trees.  The table was surrounded by mismatched chairs and included mismatched vintage plates and glassware with a table runner created with pages from an old book by My Lovely Blonde Closet.  All décor and vintage rentals were from Simply Beautiful and Anne & Co.  There were floral napkin rings and napkin rings hand tied with skeleton keys.  Each place setting had a menu rolled up in a scroll.  The seating chart was created with antique playing cards within a gold frame.  The invitation was created with an antique copy of Alice in Wonderland.  Within it was the invitation and a response card designed to look like an old library book sign out card.  All stationary was designed by Defining Moments.  The gorgeous floral by Bloom & Co was created very loosely to go with the whimsical feel of the shoot.  Jennie’s favourite part of the shoot was the lounge area which was created with an antique couch and gold candlesticks under a canopy of trees.  Behind the couch was a tower of antique books.  Whimsy and Romance… Perfection!

  1. Wow!! Your wedding planner planned your wedding so well. Your wedding cake is just beautiful and seems yummy too. I really wish I can hire a planner for my wedding at event venues Chicago, who can plan like your wedding. Your all pictures are just amazing.
