Romance Chic Styled Shoot

Romantic Black, Blush & Gold Styled Shoot

Niagara Wedding Planner

Our styled shoot was designed to be a more modern take on romance.  I planned and designed this shoot using some traditional ideas of romance and modernizing them while Gemini Photography captured the beautiful photos using both digital and film.  We kept the soft flowy blush that is oh so popular with brides and added in a bold black with gold, copper and brass accents.  I wanted to plan this styled shoot to look like an intimate elopement.  There was a sweetheart table for the Bride and Groom, a guest table for 6 and a suspended sweets table.

The Bride wore 2 different gowns with 3 different looks designed by Catherine Langlois.  The first was the romantic “Amanda” silk chiffon and french lace gown.  Second she wore the gorgeous pale gold lace and tulle “Chelsea” tea length gown which was named after Chelsy Meiss, the prima ballerina for the National Ballet.  Our bride then wore the stunning “Jodi” black tulle overskirt for a more dramatic and modern bridal look.  The brides jewellery included a show stopping pair of Simon G smoky topaz earrings, a Tiffany inspired gold and diamond bangle and a stunning diamond engagement ring all from Kavar Jewellers.

The gorgeous guest table with decor by Simply Beautiful was covered in super pretty flowers designed by Fleurish Design Studio.  There was a large centrepiece full of anemone, ranunculus, peonies and roses and floral hanging above the table in gold and copper geometric shapes.  The table was adorned with black candlesticks in brass candleholders, gold rimmed glassware, gold flatware, gold rimmed glass charger plates and gold and black rimmed china plates.  Each place setting had a place card made from a macaron with each guests name in calligraphy.  The gold Grace chairs really pop against the black linens while the light blush chiffon runner really softens the entire table.

The sweetheart table was designed to mirror the guest table.  Using black Grace chairs and a muted champagne sequin linen.   The table was designed to be a more intimate feel with the bride and groom sitting close to one another with a mound of beautiful blooms and candlelight in front of them.

The suspended sweets table was covered in yummy treats by Sweet Celebrations Patisserie.  There were 2 lovely cakes.  The first cake was a beautiful 3 tier blush beauty with beautiful sugar flowers created to match the fresh flowers in the bouquet and a bottom tier that included an intricate gold frame with the words “When I saw you I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew” written by Corsivo Calligraphy.  The sweets table also included macarons, gold glitter doughnuts, strawberry doughnuts and blush and gold decorated candy apples.

The sensational stationery was all handwritten by Corsivo Calligraphy in black and gold. Each place setting hand a handwritten menu and handwritten macaron.  The invitation suite was strikingly gorgeous on black paper with gold ink.  The inside flap of the envelope included the same quote that appeared on the cake and was sealed with a wax stamp.
