Nadine & Jon's Local Harvest Wedding

Niagara Wedding Planner

Niagara Private Estate Farmer's Market Wedding

The day Nadine and Jon and I met... I knew instantly that they were not only a couple that I wanted to work with but also a couple I wanted to become and remain friends with.  We just clicked!  Our lifestyles and personalities were so very similar.  They actually reminded me of my husband and I!  Needless to say, planning this Wedding became more personal than work!  I really enjoyed working with Nadine and Jon over the year full of planning!

With Nadine and Jon working in the Farming Industry, they really wanted a Farmer's Market feel for their Wedding.  With food being locally sourced and the decor to include locally sourced herbs, fruits and vegetables.  The wooden harvest tables were lined with just that!

Their busy Weekend started with a few Indian Ceremonies on the day before their Wedding.  Nadine took part in a Vatna and a Chura Ceremony during the morning.  After these ceremonies, they started their Mehndi Party.  After all of the ladies had their Henna done, the Sangeet began!  They enjoyed some Indian food and had entertainers come in to not only put on a show but to teach guests some dance moves!

Before their Ceremony, Nadine and Jon had a First Look and their photos taken nearby in Marshville.  Their Wedding took place at a Family Friend's Farm.  This property was a stunner!  Jon wanted to put his skills to work and made the gorgeous arbour that they stood in front of during their ceremony.  He also made not 1 but 2 amazing bars!  They had a friend design all of their stationery and even had the design printed onto the guys ties!  How amazing is that!  Another crazy talented friend created the macrame that hung from the ceremony arbour and the Bride and Groom's chairs.

Some other details from Nadine and Jon's Wedding that I love... the ladies wore blush tulle skirts (obviously I was in love!), each place setting had a jar of home made jam along with a handwritten place card tied around a sprig of rosemary,  the guestbook was a beautiful live edge piece of wood, the centrepieces were edible (I will admit, I was munching on some blueberries), in keeping with the locally sourced theme they served Oast House Beer and Niagara Wine, and the evening even included a lovely surprise fireworks display.

I hope you enjoy the gorgeous photos as much as I loved being a part of this day!
