Intimate Wedding in La Roserie at Pillar and Post

 Niagara Wedding Planner

Brittany and Jared's Covid-19 Micro Wedding with Vintage Hotels

When I started planning Brittany and Jared's Wedding back in 2018, we had no idea that only a few short months before the big day... we would have to go back to the drawing board and replan everything! Originally Brittany and Jared had a guest list of 90 - 100 people. Once the pandemic started, restrictions were being placed on businesses and events and the thought of risking the health of their guests, Brittany and Jared decided to cancel their wedding.  After restrictions started opening and events were able to continue with up to 50 guests, we decided to plan a lovely micro wedding for them and their closest family and friends.

Now, not only was I the planner for this lovely event, but Brittany is my little sister... so I was lucky enough to also be her bridesmaid!  The morning of the wedding, we got ready at my house.  I was so excited to see some of my favourite vendor friends that because of Covid-19, I hadn't been able to see since last wedding season.  It was such a wonderful little reunion!!!  After getting ready, we headed out to Pillar and Post for the First Look.

The ceremony took place at La Roserie.  They were lucky enough to be the first ceremony to ever take place in the new Vintage Hotel's ceremony space. There were 24 guests with their chairs all distanced from one another to ensure the socially distancing guidelines were met.  There was a small signing table with a wooden serving tray for their guests to sign, along with hand sanitizer and disposable face masks.  Brittany walked down the aisle with her dad, both wearing masks to keep them safe.  Brittany had her mask custom made to match her dress.

After the ceremony and photos, Brittany and Jared along with the bridesmaids and the groomsmen, enjoyed a private dinner within the Second Room at Pillar and Post.  Upon entering, Brittany and Jared shared their first dance with a song performed accoustically by Frank of the Madhatters who also played throughout dinner. After their dance, we shared a sparkling wine toast before dinner being served.
