Secrets Wild Orchid, Secrets St. James & Breathless Montego Bay Resort & Spa

 Jamaica Tourist Board Fam Trip

Our second host hotel for the week was Secrets Wild Orchid.  We were lucky enough to have an entire day at leisure here at this resort.  The wonderful thing about Secrets Wild Orchid and Secrets St. James is that you can stay at either resort and access the amenities at each.  Also, if you are in the Preferred Club, you have access to Breathless as well!  I absolutely loved all 3!

Both Secrets Resorts are very similar in style with slight differences in feeling.  Secrets Wild Orchid is Stylish and Fun and takes its inspiration from the Island's gorgeous surroundings. The rooms are decorated in neutral tones and green.  This resort is youthful and vibrant, but if guests want to escape to a quieter atmosphere, they can walk over to Secrets St. James where the vibe is a little more peaceful and sophisticated.  Rooms at Secrets St. James are decorated with dark wooden furniture and the colours blue and white.

The Secrets Resorts both include 24 hour room service, 10 gourmet restaurants 9 bars and lounges, Secrets Spa by Pevonia and a Championship-Caliber Golf Course nearby.  Each resort has 350 luxurious suites.

The moment I arrived at Secrets Wild Orchid, I fell in love.  I instantly knew this was a resort I was going to love and will look forward to visiting again.  After checking in, we went for a site tour of the property.  First was Secrets Wild Orchid. I was immediately in awe of the incredible views around the Piano bar.  That was a spot I could sit and enjoy live music with a cocktail for hours.  Here are some photos of Secrets Wild Orchid & Secrets St. James.

This little guy tried to climb into my bag and come home with me.

Amanda swimming in the rain! Crazy woman lol

This is where Secrets Wild Orchid and Secrets St. James meet.

Now let's chat about Breathless for one second here. I was blown away by this resort. The vibe is COMPLETELY different from Secrets. You walk through the pathway and into an entirely different place.  Breathless is chic and modern with state-of-the-art technology. It is a resort that would appeal to young and sophisticated professionals.  As soon as we walked over, I was handed a glass of purple champagne! We were taken to a room and WOW!  When you walk in, the first thing you see is the massive glass shower in the middle of the room.  You can control everything in the room with a tablet, including the lighting and the curtains.  Breathless has 150 of these stunning suites. Each one also comes with a jacuzzi tub on the balcony or patio.  Breathless has 6 specialty-themed restaurants, 5 bars and lounges and also has access to all of the dining and bar options at both Secrets resorts.  Breathless is home to the only rooftop pool bar in Jamaica. The rooftop pool is a lovely infinity pool with incredible views.

The first night at Secrets, we enjoyed a dinner hosted by their lovely Sales Manager Jovanni at their Italian restaurant, Portofino.  The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful.  That evening was the white party. I luckily packed a little white dress for the occasion. During the white party at Breathless, there was amazing entertainment which included fire and dancing by the pool.  The next day was our day at leisure. I spent the morning trying to get a tan before the rain started.  It ended up being the only couple hours during my stay in Jamaica that I was able to get some sun on the beach.  For dinner we ate at their french restaurant Bordeaux. This is the only restaurant that has a dress code and the food was delicious!  Later that evening I went back over to Breathless again for their Jazz and Casino night. The band was incredible and I had a blast playing Blackjack. Afterwards there was Karaoke in the Lobby followed by an afterparty back at Secrets Wild Orchid.  The entertainment staff at Breathless are amazing! I had a blast getting to know them.  Kenny & Redstripe are the best! If you ever visit this resort, be sure to say hi to them for me!

Tomorrow's blog post will be about Rose Hall Iberostar Beach & Spa Resort.
