On February 19th, nearly 100 incredibly talented WPIC alumni gathered at the Eaton Chelsea Hotel in Toronto to "Be Bold" and celebrate the start of a new year!

The evening started off with a lovely cocktail hour.  Upon entering the cocktail hour, alumni were asked to choose a balloon to pop and inside was a coloured gem signifying a table they got to choose a prize from.  I got a gift card to Victoria's Secret :) ... During the cocktail hour alumni was able to enjoy lovely music by the Ernie Kalwa Jazz Trio.  We were able to enjoy delicious gelato from Cremahh, desserts by Cakeholics, a photobooth by Best Event.ca, nail art by A Pink Nail and watch cigar rolling by Corenti Cigars and topless eye candy.

After cocktail hour, we enjoyed a delicious dinner which included the following 3 courses:
The First Glance – warm honey mushrooms in a frisée nest with sweet and spicy pecans, raspberries and boursin crumble
The Embrace – Brie and almond filled chicken breast with asparagus tips and potato
The Seduction – Macaroon cloud with raspberry crème and chocolate, with Grand Marnier cherries.

During dinner we were entertained by Wayde and Devon of D&W Entertainment Group.  The very talented Olga Pankova our live event artist was painting a beautiful painting throughout the evening, which captured the theme perfectly.
Our guest speaker was Leyla Rezeghi from DivaGirl Preneur, talking about building an empire.  "People don't buy what you do; they buy why you do it.  And what you do simply proves what you believe". "Create your tribe... Pick your posse".  We also learned some things about the Eaton Chelsea Hotel from Rebecca Babineau.  We were to answer questions about the hotel and my table got the first question and won delicious chocolates... they didn't last long.
The entertainment for the evening was 2 lovely Burlesque dancers from the Toronto School of Burlesque. The talented Kitty Litteur and Agatha Frisky gave a show I am sure none of us will forget anytime soon.

After dinner, D&W Entertainment Group got the dance floor rocking.  As we left, we were handed a huge swag bag full of goodies...

It was a lovely evening of inspiration and networking.  It was great to catch up with fellow planners and meet new ones.  I love this yearly event and look forward to seeing what the WPIC regional reps have in store for us next year!

  1. Awesome planning. I so wanted hire someone like you to do event planning for my cousin’s wedding. Due to budget issues, they simply told me to do it and I couldn’t say no to them as I have taken many favors from their family in the past.
