Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa

 Jamaica Tourist Board Fam Trip

Our first host hotel was the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort and Spa.  We stayed at this resort for 2 nights. Upon arrival at Grand Palladium, you are temperature checked and asked to sanitize your hands. As soon as you enter the lobby you are greeted with a delicious and refreshing rum punch. Check in at the Grand Palladium was wonderful. It was fast and simple. We filled out a form with our information, then received a wristband and room key. After checking in, we were taking along with our luggage by a shuttle cart to our villa which was located on the Lady Hamilton side of the resort, beside the adult pool.

The rooms are located within villas. Each Villa has 3 floors. My room was a Junior Suite located on the second floor of villa 33. The centre of each villa is open air with a lovely water fountain and plants.  The room had a stocked mini bar, a king side bed, a large flatscreen Tv, stand up shower with great water pressure and a separate jetted tub. There was a separate living space with a pull out sofa and a lovely balcony. My balcony overlooked the adult only pool.

Grand Palladium Jamaica side has 537 luxury rooms, including 449 Junior Suites and 88 Suites.  Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton side has 512 spacious suites,  including Junior Suites and Honeymoon Villa Suites.  The two resorts boast a total of 7 à la carte and 3 international restaurants with themed stations and show cooking and a combined 17 uniquely themed bars, including swim-up bars, beach bars, and a 24-hour sports bar and a lounge bar.

That first evening, we had a couple of hours to explore the resort before having a welcome cocktail party at the Infinity Terrace. The cocktail party was a casual way to interact with someone of the staff at the resort as well as the other travel agents we were going to spend the week with.  Afterwards, we went for dinner at El Dorado. We were a little disappointed that two of the main dishes that we were interested in trying were not available but the spinach with bacon and the cajun marinated potatoes were delicious. After dinner, I was exhausted from waking up at 3 am and a long day of travelling so I was off to bed.  Here are some photos from my first afternoon/evening at Grand Palladium.

The second day in Jamaica started with a sales presentation of the Palladium Hotel Group in the Hanover Conference Room followed by a site inspection.  The Grand Palladium in Jamaica is a huge resort split up in 2 sides; the Grand Palladium Jamaica and the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton. Together it has 31 villas, 11 restaurants, 10 bars and 4 pools with include an INCREDIBLE infinity pool! Seriously this pool is amazing. This huge infinity style pool with breath-taking sea views also has a swim-up bar where you can hang out with a drink while gazing out over the Caribbean.  There is one room I absolutely loved.  The Honeymoon Villa Suites at the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa are designed with romance in mind. Each of these adults-only accommodations features 893 square feet of living space, ocean views, private entrances, terraces with swaying hammocks, outdoor showers, a very spacious bathroom with an oversized tub and king-sized beds.  Another highlight of this property is the beautiful Zentropia Spa.  At the Zentropia Spa you can allow yourself to get carried away in their outdoor hydrotherapy circuit, featuring a foot shower with stones, a sauna, a steam room, a pool with hydromassage jets for the neck and back, a sensations shower, tubs with warm and cold water and a chill-out zone.  The spa also includes a Bridal Suite to relax in while getting ready for your “big day” or while on your honeymoon. Enjoy premium treatments in their exclusive massage beds and benefit from a private waiting room.

There are numerous locations for a wedding ceremony on this property.  The Sunset Cove Gazebo is absolutely beautiful and has an incredible view behind it.  This location is private with a long winding pathway to get to it. I love that you wouldn't have any random hotel guests walking in their speedo past your ceremony.  Another location is the Beach Pergola which is located on the Las Brisas Beach. While I was on site, there was a ceremony taking place on the Sunset Cove Beach.  The last location is the Angels Atrium which is located at the Zentropia Spa. This is a lovely location for a ceremony on a rainy day.

Below are some photos from our site inspection.

Tomorrow's blog post will be about my visit at Beaches Negril.
