 Jamaica Tourist Board Fam Trip

From November 4th to November 11th, 2021 I got the opportunity to join the Jamaica Tourist Board and 11 other Canadian travel advisors on a trip to Jamaica.  During this trip, we spent our time visiting some beautiful resorts and other tourist destinations throughout Negril, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.

Over the next 2 weeks, each day I am going to be posting a new blog post about each stop during our trip. 

Today's post will simply be about my trip to the airport and the time spent in the Plaza Premium Lounge.

Our trip started with a 4 am pick up by ALR Private Car Services. Greg arrived with coffee! How amazing is that!  He loaded up our bags and we were on our way. During the drive, Greg was courteous and very professional. It was an absolute pleasure and made the drive enjoyable, even at 4 am! I would highly suggest using ALR Private Car Services for any of your transportation needs. In addition to Airport Transportation they do Wine Tours, Weddings, Special Events and Daily Commutes.

Once we arrived at Pearson International Airport and checked our baggage, we headed towards the WestJet Plaza Premium Lounge.  I HIGHLY suggest using this lounge if you are flying WestJet out of Toronto. It was comfortable and quiet with great WiFi and food. The food alone makes it worth the cost.  We enjoyed some breakfast with coffee and orange juice and filled our water bottles with cucumber water for the plane.  The lounge is filled with comfortable sofas and loungers. It also has nice and clean washrooms.  There is a full service bar serving specialty coffees and teas, juices, fountain drinks, beer, wine, spirits and cocktails.

We remained in the lounge until our flight was called for boarding. We were so lucky to have an empty seat in our row of 3 on the plane which gave Amanda and I some extra room.  And we were off... Jamaica here we come!
